Okay the actual midsummer festival is celebrated in New York and A couple other places around the USA. I just looked it up because we dont celebrate anything like that around where im from. Im too far south. It is held where there is a bigger population of Scandinavians.
The summer harvest part and the tradition would be our Thanksgiving day. The heavy drinking and dancing and just being together would be our Independence day.
